My client is an outcome focused Professional Services organisation, with a passion for helping our
customers ensure that they get the intended returns from their IT investments.
We work with customers across a range of industry sectors, supporting their digital transformation
and business change initiatives, providing the practical means to deliver and drive benefits realisation
of our customer’s strategies.
We offer our customers operational delivery and advisory services across strategic portfolio
governance, project, programme and transition management, adoption & success planning and
service management. Our engagements range from specific tactical projects through to complex and
multi-faceted programmes.
We have a proven and outstanding delivery capability and to support our exciting next phase of
growth, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Individual, to join our team and
expand our sales reach, so that more customers can experience the benefits and access to that
capability.
The ideal candidate is able to establish a professional, consultative relationship with customers up to
and including C-Level, developing a core understanding of their individual business needs. They must
be able to earn trust through performance and relationship building, have strong interpersonal skills,
be organised, proactive, and with a good commercial acumen

experience in selling operational professional services and is confidently able to articulate “value and

demonstrate the following:
• Consultative and services-based selling experience with a track record of quota-carrying success
• Industry knowledge and experience of :
o Mid-Market/Enterprise Commercial and/or Public Sector (in particular Healthcare)
o IT Channel with Vendors, Systems Integrators and Managed Service Providers
• A good understanding of Professional Services in particular operational delivery services
• Proven ability for creating and driving sales pipeline and growth
• A proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets
• An ability to precisely manage and forecast a sales process, maintaining good discipline and
accurate records
• A competitive nature with a collaborative mindset – you’re driven to be the best and your work history and personal accomplishments illustrate this.
• A problem solver with a passion for learning – you are service and solutions-oriented and aren’t
afraid to constructively suggest a better way of working and seek feedback in order to improve.
• Experience of the negotiation process with customers to maximise project value and customer
success, whilst optimising both short and long term commercial returns for my client
Demonstrable experience and skills:
• 3-5 years’ experience in a Professional Services sales role delivering outcomes based services
and solutions
• A passion for demand generation with a proven track record in sales and quota achievement,
ideally IT operations and/or professional services
• Can build and manage a pipeline of profitable opportunity by combining a good knowledge of IT
service, credibility at senior management and C-level, and expert business development skills
• Experience in forecasting and proposal development with proven results against pipeline and
sales targets
• Ability to create effective opportunity and account development plans, defining tangible actions
for both self and the wider bid team which can be used to track progress and driven towards a
successful goal.
• Engage with internal team members to help qualify, progress, and win new business
• Possess strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build personal relationships
• Proactive approach of leveraging various professional social platforms to build, nurture and
ultimately engage new customers
• Self-starter with organisational, multitasking, and time management skills
• Competent in using any CRM system such as Salesforce.com
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
